Madness Behind the Music

I have always loved music. When I was in grade school we had a wonderfully inspirational music teacher, Mr. Purvis. He taught us how to sing in parts and to read music. Every Friday he would play classical music for us and talk about the composers, telling us what they were like. I remember wishing that I could become a composer but not knowing how to do it. In the eighth grade I played a French horn, but didn't continue after that.

During the early 90's one of my eyes started causing me much grief. I have an eye disease called keratoconus and I feared I might need to have a cornea transplant (fortunately, that turned out not to be the case). It was during this time that I started to play the piano. I didn't really want to play anything that others had written and suddenly discovered that I was composing music. Later I began to compose music using computer software and I am having far too much fun with it! I invite you to go to the songs and play some of the pieces.
